10-ME-009: Replace SWFP Pipes/Lines and Gate Valves

Scope of Work: Ensure electrical service is disconnected at circuit breaker supplying power to jockey pumps, apply lock out/tag out procedures. Remove concrete trench covers over pipe to be replaced, approximately 320 LF. Remove and dispose existing 8” SWPF pipe and fittings, approximately 320 LF. Widen concrete pipe support cradles to accommodate new 12” pipe, approximately 32 each. Install new 12” stainless steel pipe (316L, schedule 10) with groove joint ends, approximately 320 LF; 12” Victaulic grooved couplings (316 SS), 12 each; 12” x 90 degree elbow (316 SS) groove joint, 2 each (as per drawing provided). Install ½” x 4” stainless steel threaded rod into concrete pipe cradles on either side of pipe, 64 each. Fabricate and install ¼” x 2 ½” stainless steel pipe straps, 32 each, secure with stainless steel nuts and washers. Replace 3 each wharf hydrant risers with new assemblies, each assembly including 3 each 2 ½” and 1 each 4” DI gate valves, OS&Y, double epoxy coated for saltwater industrial use, brass outlets with cap and chain. Pressure test new pipe installation and check all joints for leaks. Replace concrete trench covers over pipe, approximately 320 LF.
