Scope of Work: Install a multi-species barrier that is approximately 7,286 ft. long, enclosing 51.5 ha of beach strand, coconut forest and native limestone forest. Fence shall be 6′-8′ ft. long. The fence must be constructed of marine grade materials able to withstand harsh ocean spray, resistant to strong winds, storms, and typhoons. Fence shall be constructed Xcluder pest proof fencing, or approved equal. Install three pest proof, lockable gates. Install cattle guard or similar across at public entrance gate to deter ungulate crossing while gates are open.
Fencing materials shall be proven to be pest-proof, able to be assembled in a pest-proof manner and have durability and longevity. Construction precision is vital to providing a pest-proof fence. All tolerances and gaps must be measured to maintain the minimum allowed in the design. The contractor shall employ a quality control program to ensure that the fence is constructed per specifications with rigorous inspections throughout construction. A third party inspection shall be performed at project completion for workmanship and pest-proof ability.
